How do I connect a dry beercooler?
Necessities:
- Keg
- Dispense head
- CO2 pressure bottle
- CO2 pressure reducer
- Lindr beercooler
- Beer tube
- Pressure tube
- Bucket
- Power
Connecting:
Step 1: Preparing
Put all the stuff ready and put the Keg and CO2 bottle firmly on the ground, so it cannot topple over.
Step 2: Connecting the CO2 pressure reducer
Attach the pressure reducer to the CO2 bottle. With a wrench size 30 you can tighten the reducer firmly without damaging anything.
Step 3: Connecting the pressure tube to the CO2 bottle
Take the two tubes and place the beer tube on the keg. The pressure tube (the blue stripe one), can be connected to the CO2 pressure reducer by using the John Guest fittings.
Step 4: Placing the keg coupler
Place the keg coupler on the keg
Step 5: Connecting beer tube to keg coupler
Connect the beer tube to the keg coupler. The beer tube has to be connected to the top of the keg coupler.
Step 6: Connecting pressure tube to the keg coupler
Connect the pressure tube to the keg coupler. The pressure tube has to be connected to the side of the keg coupler, open the CO2 bottle, and adjust the pressure. If you want to know what pressure you need, go to: "How much pressure do I need?"
Step 7: Connecting beer tube to the beer dispenser
Take the beer dispenser and connect the beer tube to the back of the dispenser.
Step 8: Bucket
Place the drip tray in front of the tap and put the bucket on top of it.
Step 9: Connecting the dispense head
Press the handle of the keg coupler down to connect it to the keg
Step 10: Draining
Drain the beer dispenser. This means that you open the tap and wait until beer comes out. If you do not take this step and switch the cooler on immediately the coil in the beer dispenser may freeze because of moisture in the air.
Step 11: Connect the cooler
Switch on the dispenser, you should hear the tap start cooling on.
Step 12: Set the thermostat
With the thermostat set the temperature of your beer. If you need to pour a lot of beer in a short amount of time you can set the temperature slightly lower than when you need to tap an occasional beer.
Step 13: Set Compensator tap
Set the compensator tap to the desired flow rate of the beer. This can be found at the side of the tap.
Step 14: Changing a keg
If the keg is empty, remove the keg coupler. Swap the keg and connect the keg coupler to the new keg.
Step 15: Tip
When you are finished for the day, make shure you close the CO2 cylinder.
