Connecting a 600 gram disposable CO2 cylinder
This video demonstrates how to connect a 600 gram disposable CO2 cylinder which you can buy at biertap.eu. To clarify the requirements and steps from this video we put them as text bellow the video. (The video is in Dutch)
Necessities:
- 600 gram disposable CO2 bottle
- CO2 mini presure reducer + John Guest couplings
- Dispense head + 2x John Guest couplings
- Presure tube
Connecting:
Step 1: Preparing
Put all the stuff ready.
Step 2: Connecting the pressure tube to the dispense head
Connect the pressure hose to the dispence head, do this by pushing it in the John Guest fitting on the side of the dispense head.
Step 3: Check the dispense head
Make sure the keg coupler is closed. The keg coupler is closed when the lever is in the upwards position. This prevents gas escaping once you connect the CO2 cylinder.
Step 4: Connecting the pressure tube to the CO2 pressure reducer
Connect the other end of the pressure tube to the CO2 pressure reducer, this is done by pressing it into the left socket on the reducer.
Step 5: Connecting the pressure tube to the CO2 cylinder
Remove the plastic cap from the CO2 bottle. Twist the bottle on the left outlet of the reducer.
Note: Twist until you no longer hear any gas escaping.
Step 6: Set Pressure
Set the desired pressure of the CO2 by using the reducer. This is done by turning the screw, turn the screw to the right to increase the pressure, turn the screw to the left to lower the pressure. Want to know what pressure you need? Go to: "At how many bars do I need to set my CO2?"
After following these steps your CO2 cylinder is connected correctly.
